Today a few words about the book itself. I didn't want it to be just a regular compilation of poems and stories without any logic behind it. "On The Pursuit Of Happiness" is a concept book. What does it mean to me? Well, I used my poetry and prose to create a coherent story recounting my quest to find out what life is about. The book is divided into four parts, each dealing with a different aspect of my journey. The poems and stories aren't organized chronologically, I wrote them in the years 2015-2018 and shared on my blog. The entire book is designed by me, starting from the layout and finishing on the book cover. 💪🏼 The book is available in ebook Kindle format and is compatible with all Kindle Fire devices. And so it is… so many years, so many months, so many days… My PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS is finished! !!! LITERALLY !!! I’m so happy to announce that my very first book has been published! And the most important one, because it tells the story of my transformation, the journey to discover what’s important to me, the pursuit of happiness, and what it actually means to me. Probably, to some it wouldn’t be anything special, to others too short, too boring, too emotional, too little or too much. To some, though, it might be just the thing enough to see the positive, to find the light. And those are ones for whom my book is dedicated. For everyone who struggles with doubts, hesitations, fears. It shall pass, dears. To me, this book is everything I’d been through. Today will be more of a personal post. I feel like I should explain myself to my friends and family for being so unavailable in the past months. I hope you'll understand as it was a very important time in my life. I became absent to most of social events. Whenever someone wanted to reach me, I'd always excuse myself for turning down the offer by blaming it to my work, and a lot of it. I moved to a small town far from big city noise and chaos. I switched to work online so I could stay as much as possible in and avoid going out. I spent a lot of time in nature to get inspired. I needed inspiration a lot so I'd stay motivated and push myself to not quit again, to not pass up and give up on what seemed to be the most important to me. As a matter of fact, I was super busy, that's true, but not really with my regular job. I devoted every spare minute to pursue my biggest dream... It took me a lot of hours to figure out how I wanted it to happen. And then, one day it just dawned on me. So I spent the last two months preparing everything, step by step, putting it all together, changing, re-thinking, changing again until I found myself satisfied with the outcome. It's done and I can't wait to share it with you all, not only my family and friends, but also my dear followers. And what is it? Well, check it out in my next post... When? This time four years ago I moved to the island of ice and fire, and wind as I learnt later. That was the beginning of my transformation, self-discovery, shedding off the masks I'd hide behind, coming back to my roots. That was the awakening of my creative forces and their translation into words. That was the starting point. I got this tattoo on the first anniversary of my arrival there. That's the Icelandic rune called "jera", literally meaning "year". The rune of harvest and reward for right actions in a naturally ordered cyclical process. I took it as a symbol and direction for the future. Today, four years later, the transformation is coming to completion. There's just one more element to culminate my process.
