Have you ever wondered what is the real sign of spring? Birds singing, or maybe green leaves on trees, flowers in bloom? Apparently, in Warsaw it seems a little bit different. The spring is officially announced when you can go outside wearing shorts and relax all day in the sun. On the beach. In fact, one of the beaches. All along the Vistula riverside, there are several beaches, some are natural and rarely attended by people, some more man-made like the one close to Poniatowski Bridge. And this beach is, without doubt, the most popular place to spend free time when the temperature increases to +15 or more.
It’s also my favourite play to go with friends or my Couchsurfers and sit on the warm sand, enjoy the view and chat. There are always people having barbecues, camp fires, lots of them play the guitars and other instruments, some are with children, the others play volleyball/badminton/football/etc. It all resembles the atmosphere of a family picnic.
